Blocked drains

What if there’s tree roots that won’t budge?

Tree roots can cause damage to underground drainage systems by cracking or breaking pipes. When this happens, the first step in repairing the broken drain is to locate the specific area where the damage has occurred. This can often be done by using our CCTV camera to inspect the inside of the pipe, or by using specialized locating equipment.

Once the damaged area has been identified, the next step is to dig up the affected section of pipe. Once the damaged section of pipe has been exposed, it can then be repaired or replaced. The method of repair will depend on the extent of the damage and the type of pipe that is being used. In some cases, a patch repair may be sufficient, while in other cases the entire section of pipe may need to be replaced.

After the repair or replacement has been completed, the excavation site will be backfilled and compacted to ensure proper drainage and to prevent future damage to the repaired pipe.

It is best to consult us for the repair and maintenance of broken drains caused by tree roots, as we have experience and skill to safely and effectively repair the damaged pipe without causing further damage to the system or surrounding area.
